Craig Hartmann
Mr. Hartmann has over thirty years experience working for consulting architectural and engineering firms, design-build contractors, low-voltage contractors, system integrators, manufacturing, and contract assignments. Clients have included commercial, institutional, educational, religious, industrial, and government. He has been responsible for preparing construction documents including, plans and specifications, studies, reports, and construction cost estimates for various projects that include new construction, renovation, and tenant fit-up.
Duties have included design of medium and low-voltage power distribution, stand-by generator sets and UPS emergency power systems, interior and exterior lighting design, telecommunications, and special systems. Special systems work included sound systems, public-address/paging, professional audiovisual, video and audio teleconferencing systems, security access control, intrusion detection, master clock, fire alarm with and without voice evacuation and smoke control.
Other systems designed by Mr. Hartmann have included heat tracing, snow-melt, grounding, and lightning protection. As part of design efforts he has performed power, lighting, and acoustical modeling using software and 3D modeling of equipment layouts using AutoCAD. In addition to design he has performed field surveys and reports, construction cost estimating, overcurrent protection coordination studies, and construction administration. Construction Administration duties have included daily oversight of all phases of electrical construction, preparing change orders and request for proposals, responding to requests for information, resolving construction difficulties, reviewing contractor proposals, approving contractor pay requests, field observations, and preparing inspection reports.
