Replacement of two existing roof-mounted 30,000 cfm air handling units with like units containing VFD-driven machines. Extensive coordination with Owner’s forces for the required power interruptions during construction including removal and replacement of electrical distribution equipment in two existing mechanical rooms. Replacement of building dropped ceiling for the installation of mechanical mixing boxes.
Monsanto Multi-Story Lab Building Air Handler Motor Control Replacement - St. Louis, MO [2016]
Replacement of three existing 100 hp Air Handler motor controllers with new stand-alone VFD controllers within the existing main Mechanical room. Replacement of existing MCC motor controllers with new overcurrent devices. Extensive coordination with Owner’s forces for the required power interruptions during construction.
Monsanto Twin Lab Renovation- St. Louis, MO [2016]
Multi-discipline fit out of approximately 600 sq.ft. housing twin Research Labs for the study of new/ongoing products. The labs include three fume hoods, one a walk-in type. The design included coordination with existing building conditions, construction documentation and thorough field observations/review. The electrical design consisted of suspended LED lighting, toggle controls, metallic surface raceway, fire alarm & voice/data devices.
Washington University School of Medicine McKinley Bldg 2nd Floor Lab Fitout Project- St. Louis, MO [2016]
Multi-discipline fit out of approximately 6000 sq.ft. housing Bio-Chemistry, Chemistry and Analytics Labs in addition to office sapaces for scientists. The design included coordination with existing building conditions, construction documentation and thorough field observations/review. The electrical design consisted of suspended LED lighting, toggle controls, metallic surface raceway, ceiling power panels and fire alarm & voice/data devices.
Washington University McDonnell Hall Lab Upgrade/Renovation Project - St. Louis, MO [2016]
Upgrades to approximately 6000 sq.ft. laboratory spaces which included removal of existing suspended lighting fixtures, lighting fixture controls, dual- section metallic surface mounted raceway and special receptacles with new suspended LED lighting fixtures, dimming wireless lighting controls, new
metallic dual-section surface mounted raceways, connections to a new Cold and Warm Rooms and voice/data outlet fit-outs.
Monsanto Bldg AA Heat Exchanger/Hot Water Pumps and New Cable Tray Project - St. Louis, MO [2015-2016]
Replacement of existing hot water pumps with new VFD driven pumps including load reallocation at existing Motor Control Centers. The project also included a new 24” cable tray run of approximately 150’ with suitable seismic bracing and supports.
Laboratory [15,000 CFM Capacity AHU] Replacement/Relocation - St. Louis, MO [2015-2016]Existing dock reclamation project consisting of removal of an existing Air Handling Unit and replacement with new like unit at a different location to minimize down time. Power, Fire Alarm and CCTV systems were the systems included in this effort; in addition, the reclaimed dock included a dock leveler, vehicle restraint system and new dock door.
Traits and GET Lab Renovations, 7000 sq.ft. - St. Louis, MO [2015-2016]Renovation and upgrades of existing spaces to accommodate approximately 40 pieces of lab equipment including centrifuges, freezers, warmers, incubators; installation of a 20kVA UPS system to support some of the loads .
Monsanto 400,000 sq.ft. Lab/Office Building - St. Louis, MO [2015-2016]
Replacement of existing fluorescent T8 lighting with an LED lighting platform. Ligthing control upgrades included large and medium sized conference rooms, corridors, labs, general office and private office spaces; occupancy and vacancy sensors consisted of wireless technologies.
Monsanto 400,000 sq.ft. Lab/Office Building - St. Louis, MO [2013-2014]Replacement of an extensive and existing roof mounted exhaust fan farm while replacing it with large set of strobic fans. Components of electrical design included power, lighting and fire alarm. Variable frequency drives, large feeder installation and upgrading existing lightning protection systems were also included as part of the design.

Elantas PDG–Building 10 Renovation- St. Louis, MO [2006-2013]Complete Electrical design including lighting, power, fire alarm systems, voice/data systems for this 40,000 two-story administrative, research/production lab facility which was fully remodeled and renovated. The electrical and low voltage systems included the head-end equipment and interconnection to the necessary utilities.
50 Bus SKM Model developed for a multi-voltage system ranging from 4.16kV through 208V; the system includes multiple transformer types, underground and indoor cabling, power circuit breakers, fuses and molded case circuit breakers. The 50 Bus SKM model was utilized to yield the expected load current flows.
Performed review and approval of the 50 Bus SKM model and report containing the expected Short Circuit, Time Current Curve and Arc Flash data.
Elantas PDG–Building 56 Cooling Tower Replacement- St. Louis, MO [2006-2013]
Complete replacement of an existing cooling tower with a new unit including controls, power feeds and annunciation.
Quest Labs – Atlanta, Georgia [2006-2013]
Upgrade of existing lab space and conversion of an adjacent storage space for consolidation of lab operations; remote lab equipment required relocation to this new space. This project was utilized by the Owner to showcase a fully fitted lean lab operation.
Steris Inc. – Hazardous Location Assessment and Code Study [2006-2013]
Complete analysis of a 10,000 sq.ft. Class I Div 1 Hazardous area that included process, shipping and storing activities. The report focused on providing the Owner with recommendations, cost estimates and options to mitigate possible un-wanted conditions. The report relied primarily on the NEC-Article 50- Hazardous Classified Locations, NFPA 497-Recommended Practice for the Classification of Flammable Liquids, Gases or Vapors and of Hazardous Locations for Electrical Installations in Chemical Process Areas and NFPA 30- Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code.
Elantas PDG–Building 10 Assessment Report- St. Louis, MO [2006-2013]
Served as lead electrical engineer assessing the lighting, service power, general power, fire alarm, public address and voice/data systems for building 10 and made recommendations for upgrades based on the condition of such system.
Renovation of existing warehouse space to house a new chemical clean room, two chemical process areas, a lab and office areas. These renovations allowed the Owner to showcase a portion of the manufacturing operation.
